Join Frances Fragos Townsend, chairperson of the Homeland Security Council, as she addresses the lessons the nation has learned since creating the Department of Homeland Security and living through the real life experience of Hurricane Katrina. As the driving force behind the President’s investigation into our nation’s response to Hurricane Katrina and a direct report to the President on United States Homeland Security policy and Combating Terrorism matters, Ms. Townsend will delve into questions such as: Are we better prepared, or do we just think we are? Where are the lessons learned sinking in and where are they not? What should our top priorities as a nation be? And how do we stay vigilant when we think the impossible will not happen to us?
